For my entire knife making career I've always done forged, one of a kind pieces. For the first time I'm going to be offering a stock removal knife model. These guys start out as a torch cut blank and then I do all the grinding by hand. The handle construction process is the same as all my work. Because I can make one of these much faster then forging out a knife by hand, I'm going to be able to offer them at a lower price point. I wanted to do this because many people over the years have expressed interest in my work, but a knife came in just over their budget. I want to be able to offer heirloom quality work for the common man. The Manistee Bushcrafter has a 5 1/4" long, 5/32" thick blade made from 1084. The overall length is 9 3/4". It has a classic palm swell handle with pins and a lanyard tube and a full flat grind. These are going to be priced at $220 (and might go up depending on the material.
